  • Complete measurements and measurement diagrams
  • Contact architect (Dale?)
  • Consider lighting more thoroughly
    • Lean toward ceiling lights with multiple, adjustable lights (halogen, LED)
  • Consider available spaces for odd shapes, recessed shelves, etc.
  • Consider optimal places for towel racks/hooks

 

  • Select tile (rocky, amber, irregular?)
    • Do they have the corner and trim pieces needed to frame tub?
    • Porcelain can look like stone for not a ton of money, is virtually indestructible, and is low maintenance for shower surrounds
  • Select flooring
    • Ceramic tiles are not always strong enough for floors -- ask
    • Porcelain floors more rugged than stone
    • If buying stone, get 20% more than needed so you can discard oddly colored, make sure subflooring can take weight
