Priorities for Remodel of Pete's Bathroom

(Listed starting with highest priority)

  1. New plumbing for both bathroom and kitchen sink (currently kitchen sink has some leaking and bathroom sink and shower have very poor pressure and draining).
  2. A generally warm wood and stone feel, with reddish/brown stone colors.  E.g. including something like this rock-like porcelain for the floor, and this for the wainscot and/or tub surround.
  3. Open, stand-alone shower, with at least reasonable width (e.g. would like minimum of 35"), possibly with one side not full height, e.g. like this (and/or with glass brick on part like this ).
  4. Jetted tub, with good pressure from jets, and decent size for a 6'2" person to sit in (e.g. at least 4' at bottom of tub)  (and of course, adequate electricity and water heating to operate it)
  5. Rock or rocklike (porcelain?) tile wainscot around entire perimeter of room, possibly rising higher for things like backsplash of sink and tub.  (Walls above would be painted a relatively dark, woody brown/red.)
  6. Upgraded electrical outlets, e.g. for 4 simultaneous devices, accessible from sink
  7. ... preferably a corner tub
  8. ... with windows nearby, something like this,
  9. ... preferably with a rock or rock-like surround, with a several inches of flat surface space on as many sides as possible
  10. Need a fan added (bathroom currently has no fan)
  11. I do NOT want standard bathroom mirror lights (e.g. the row of bulbs above the mirror), but rather lights that fit into the wood and rock theme (which I may look for at speciality stores, e.g. with western styles) -- E.g. this picture shows something approaching both the sorts of lights and the general feel I'm after.
  12. I would like at least one wall or portion of wall done with very stacked rock like tile, probably real rock of some kind.  (I know this is hard to keep clean, but it's worth it to me.)  E.g. like this or this.
  13. Shelves/niches in shower for soap, shampoo, etc.
  14. Preferably a tub with room for two (but willing to sacrifice if necessary)
  15. Trough shower drain (or whatever you call it -- long drain at front of shower level with the ground)
  16. Sink with some cabinet space, lights and mirror above, convenient electric .  Cabinet and shelf space do not have to be large.  E.g. I like these, from Home Depot.
  17. Shelves over the back wall above the tub, large plain rectangles of descending size, as in this terrible attempt at 3d rendering
  18. Electric outlet just above middle or top shelf
  19. Preferably these shelves (and electric) would allow placement of a small flatscreen TV such that it could be 1) viewed comfortably while sitting in the tub; and 2) seen from the main part of the bathroom (e.g. from sink, though not necessarily when facing the sink)
  20. I very much like the inset shelving space on the sides of this tub surround (as deep as practical).
  21. More shelf space where convenient (open, without doors is good)
  22. A winding path of pebble-sort of tile cutting through the square tiles from one key point in the bathroom to another (e.g. shower entrance to sink)
  23. Light switches inside bathroom door (note current ceiling light switch is outside bathroom door)
  24. Towel racks somewhere convenient
  25. I'm toying with the idea of a TV mirror -- but probably not.

I doubt if this has any practical things to offer for my bathroom remodel, but I just love this shower.
